GUEST BOOK

My sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Hinely, someone very special to me and who deeply touched my life starting at a very young age. To Mrs. Hinely, I have thought about you so much over the years after spending time with you as a child and then again in high school, hoping to one day see you again or hear how you have been. I am grieving your passing, sad that there’s no longer a chance to run into you on the Island. But I am also content in reading that you lived a long life, stayed in Savannah surrounded by your growing family, and passed away in good care. To the warmth and care you showed me starting from when I was very young, to your southern hospitality and your fried chicken, for teaching me the song “Hush Little Baby,” and for being one of my first friends – thank you and I love you. Love, Cathy

I know she left you with a lot of great memories. But I know she has struggled the last few years and life has been a struggle for her.I hope you find some comfort in knowing that she has found peace again. Love you all. Kim

Isabelle has left such a legacy, not only with her own family but with all the children she cared for with love in her home-based day care. My two daughters, Cristy and Cathy, spent many fun hours playing in her house and yard with other children who would become longtime friends. I would often hear them say-- I've known them since Mrs. Hinely's. Joe and Paul, I remember you both playing with the little kids and rocking the babies and I always said you would become really good dads because of the experience. Isabelle was so loved by all the children she kept and their parents, too. I am grateful to have had her in my life and to have known her. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family as you celebrate her life. She left a wonderful legacy.
